Privacy Policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
This policy explains what Docent (operated by Garima Pahwa) collects, why, and who it's shared with. Docent collects as little as it can.
What we collect
- Your account: when you sign in, our sign-in provider Clerk stores your email address and name (and profile picture if you use Google).
- Usage on your account: how many free checks you've used (stored as short coded IDs, not the transactions themselves) and whether you're a member, with your Razorpay payment ID.
- Payments: Razorpay processes payments and receives the payment details you enter there. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- What you paste: transaction signatures, wallet addresses and unsigned transactions are used only to produce the explanation you asked for. Signatures and addresses are public blockchain data.
- Analytics: anonymous page-view statistics (pages visited, country, device type) via Vercel Analytics, with transaction signatures and wallet addresses removed. No advertising trackers.
Services we use
- Clerk: sign-in and accounts
- Razorpay: payments
- Vercel: hosting and anonymous analytics
- Helius: reading the Solana blockchain
- ElevenLabs: generating the narration voice (it receives the caption text, not your account details)
- Binance public market data: historical prices for the trade check
These providers process data only to provide their service to Docent. We don't sell your data.
Cookies and storage
Docent uses cookies from Clerk to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember your light or dark theme. There are no advertising cookies.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time. To delete your account and the data stored with it, email us and we'll do it within 30 days. Payment records may be kept by Razorpay as required by law.
